Change of Shift – Last Instructions for the next 12 hours
Equipment Check – every shift needs to check their vehicle and the stocking
Check the Supplies – On the station itself is a storage room with the most important supplies for the paramedics
A small Window – The Paramedic Team never loose contact with the patient
Daily Routine – The process of restocking is quite important for any ambulance
We help together – Germany have a network of aid organisations
Radiomessage – Communication with the coordination centre is important to get information about the situation and exchange any new problem
Burocracy – But saving lifes is not without writing – The paramedics need to check quite a lot of things and need to document them, even the insurance status is important
Way to hospital – an old patient is on the way to the hospital and grabs some tubes
First Test – The most important thing is to check the vital signs of any patient during transportation and monotorize the condition, e.g. with a cardiogramm
Remove the Trace – After the patient is transferred to the hospital they need to immediately clean their ambulance
Back to the station – As long as the paramedics don’t get any new call, they mostly return to the station or drive around
Writing Time – After every commitment the paramedics need to write a report about the circumstances
Spare Time – Between commitments the ambulance team is waiting for the next call
Community Room – A this station there are mostly two people during a shift, but they got everything they need: Beds, TVs, Kitchen and a terrace
Car Wash – Every paramedic have an obligation to keep their ambulance clean and ready
Knock off – After 12 hours the shift ends, in some other organisations there are also 24 hour shifts
